What ID can I use to sit my NZ drivers licence?
Option 1:
Current New Zealand Passport
Option 2:
Original NZ birth certificate issued after 1998 and Photo ID: eg 18+ card, employer ID card, gun license, current school photo ID card.
Option 3:
Original NZ birth certificate issued after 1998 and Photo ID: DL 26 filled in and signed by Identity referee Plus one of these below:
- Bank statement (no older than 6 months)
- IRD letter or card
- Community Services Card
- Power or Phone account
Option 4:
Please ring NZTA 0800 822 422 and require what else may be acceptable or pop in to a caravan and ask our qualified staff.
